Peptide Therapy

Peptides have a wide range of therapeutic applications..png

What Are Peptides?

A peptide is a chain of amino acids. Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins and they occur naturally in the human body. Peptides have a wide range of therapeutic applications. They can regulate a wide range of biological functions and processes, but tend to decrease in abundance and function with age. People with different health and performance goals often consider therapeutic peptides. These may be used for hormone replacement, weight loss, pain relief, and anti-aging purposes. Ask Dr. Bachurina about her personal experience with this therapy. She has an amazing story!

How Are Peptides Used?

Peptides are involved in many bodily functions, including neurological activity, digestion, hormone release, and cardiovascular, renal, respiratory, and immune system function. In fact, there are more than 7,000 known peptides in humans alone. Some are used for signaling the production of proteins, while a few function as hormones themselves. Carrier peptides deliver elements to where they are needed. They can transport magnesium or copper to the skin to aid collagen production. Other peptides can act as enzyme inhibitors or catalyzers to regulate biological processes.

Age, stress, and changes in diet can naturally disrupt peptide production. Peptide supplements are widely available and can offset the effects of peptide degradation. They’re typically used by athletes, fitness buffs, and those who want to look more youthful(all of us?). Peptides can be administered orally, subcutaneous ( fat tissues ) injected or IV infused under doctors supervision. The later 2 methods delivering them directly into the bloodstream where they can circulate throughout the body. Some of these peptides include:

  • CJC 1295/ipamorelin
  • BCP 157
  • Semorelin Glycine
  • CHK-GU
  • epithalon

Anti-Aging Properties of Peptides

When we use peptides for aging, we aren’t just talking about wrinkle prevention and skin elasticity (those are extras!) Peptide supplements are used to increase organ, muscle, brain, joint, and tissue health (basically anything that has to do with the physical structure of your body), which means they may help you avoid some of the uncomfortable symptoms associated with aging.

Post Endurance Training Recovery

Peptides have emerged as a powerful tool in post-endurance training recovery, and at Marigevity, we harness their potential to optimize our clients' recovery process. Dr. Bachurina recognizes that endurance training can put significant stress on the body, leading to muscle fatigue, inflammation, and delayed recovery. By incorporating targeted peptide therapy into our post-endurance training protocols, we can accelerate the healing and repair process, reduce inflammation, and enhance overall recovery. These specialized peptides work at a cellular level, promoting tissue regeneration, improving muscle repair, and boosting the body's natural ability to recover. With Dr. Bachurina's expertise and a personalized peptide regimen, athletes and fitness enthusiasts can experience faster recovery times, reduced muscle soreness, and enhanced performance, allowing them to push their limits and achieve their athletic goals with confidence.

Peptides can be administered intravenously, orally or even topically.

Peptide injections aren’t for just anyone, but they can be extremely beneficial for athletes, aging adults, or provide a much-needed boost for those fighting chronic illness. By delivering peptides straight to the bloodstream, these healing compounds can be absorbed at a much higher rate and completely bypass the digestive system.
